Lynne Bailey AISTD, Principal and Artistic Director of LK's School of Dance, started ballet and acting at the age of 3 years old and has been dancing and performing ever since. In her early 20's Lynne branched into Disco Freestyle and hasn't looked back since and after further training, turning professional and teaching at another dance school, Lynne eventually opened her own school of dance.
In 2007, Lynne moved to Norfolk and started teaching just a couple of classes a week before introducing Hip Hop and Street into the programme. Now eight years later the school is busy and thriving and offers several classes throughout the week.
Lynne feels very honoured to have such dedicated and talented pupils and creates a great atmosphere at the school which is like 'one big happy family', with every member from the 3-year olds right up to her adult members, looking out for and supporting each other.
Lynne's aim for her members is always to achieve fantastic performing opportunities, with some being in famous venues such as London's West End and Lynne has taken the dance school to perform at Her Majesty's Theatre and the O2 arena. Lynne arranged for 44 pupils pupils to have a private meeting with DIVERSITY, where they spent the day dancing, chatting and taking photos with the famous dance group. You won't therefore be surprised to hear that Lynne has already lots planned for the coming year including more of their regular trips to the now famous Pineapple Dance Studios in London, where LK's hires a studio for lessons - a wonderful experience for all the members and even some of the Mums!
There is always the opportunity to take part in displays, carnivals and shows throughout the year. Pupils can take dance examinations with the school governed by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and Lynne is very proud to say that her school always achieves 100% pass rate of which the majority have been the top grade of honours.
LK's also competes locally and nationally with great success and trophies achieved. Lynne had a group of her pupils Qualify for the World and European Hip Hop Dance Championships and flew them to Germany, where they achieved amazing results, many being first places
So whether you come to classes to keep fit and have some fun, want to take your dancing to a higher level, get involved in everything LK's has to offer, or even make dancing your career - at LK's you choose just how much you want to do!
